Pine Island is located in Lee County, on the Gulf of Mexico coast of southwest Florida, it is also the largest island in Florida and 118th largest island in the United States. The Intracoastal Waterway passes between Pine Island and Sanibel Island just a few miles to the west. Only 30 minutes from downtown Fort Myers but it is a world apart. There is not a single stop light on the entire island!

Here you’ll find cool breezes, beautiful scenery, tropical landscapes and fruits, and home to the most laid back and friendly people along with some of the finest boating and fishing in all of Florida. Close proximity to Ft Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Cayo Costa State Park, Cabbage Key, Useppa Island, Boca Grande and The Gulf of Mexico. VIDEO
This is the crossroads of Pine Island and the very center. It is the main business area with restaurants, banks, grocery stores, a shopping center, fire station, library, museum, community pool and a park.
Matlacha is one of five communities on Pine Island, although technically, it is located on a smaller island in Matlacha Pass, east of Pine Island. It is an artsy, "old florida" fishing village, home to many brightly colored art galleries, island boutiques, seafood restaurants, and traditional Floridian cottages. Though Hurricane Ian has devastated much of this quaint village, it is making a tremendous comeback and new shops and businesses are opening frequently. VIDEO
