The main house is named "Villa Key West" it is not actually in Key West, which just over 100 miles to the south, but rather it has the style, the feel, the flora and the charm of a home in Key West with much more space and privacy!
The grounds of this Florida vacation rental showcase some of the most exotic flowers, trees and plants from all over the world and native to Florida, from Orchids, Bird-of-Paradise, Heliconias, exotic Palms, fruit trees, flowers and a rare Rainbow Eucalyptus tree.
Swimming, boating, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, shelling are at your backdoor. Ft Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Cayo Costa State Park and Boca Grande are only a short boat or ferry ride away. VKW has one of the largest, private pools on all of Pine Island.
YOU ARE THE ONLY GUESTS HERE!
"Villa Key West" is not actually in Key West, it is the name of the Key West style house at this property in St James City, Florida. The Coconut Cabana is a separate guesthouse, adjacent to the pool and only a few feet from the waters edge of San Carlos Bay. You share the entire property only with your hosts/owners Liz and Parker whom reside in the main house.
Privacy and solitude is rare when it comes to Florida waterfront, yet this unique vacation property with 380 feet of shoreline and tropical landscaping has just that, with sweeping views of Sanibel Island and it's blinking lighthouse in the distance, you truly feel you have stepped onto a lush tropical paradise far away from the city. Being that this is on the Intracoastal Waterway, you always see a parade of pleasure boats, luxury yachts, maritime travelers and commercial fishing vessels passing close by. The scenery is ever changing and always exciting, Manatee, Dolphin and numerous species of birds share the water. Watch Pelicans, Frigates, Terns, Osprey, Eagles and Cormorants soaring overhead or diving for their dinner just feet away as you lay poolside.
St James City is a small village on the southern tip of Pine Island, the largest island in Florida (roughly 16 square miles). It is hundreds of acres of tropical fruit plantations, exotic palm farms and miles of mangrove shoreline along with residential canals, but it is not a beach island. Gulf beaches are close by but do require a boat/ferry ride or a drive off the Island. Pine Island is the last remaining experience of charismatic "Old South West Florida" left. It has friendly people, wonderful restaurants, fun bars and active marinas, many are only a short walk, bicycle or golf cart ride away from your cabana. Truly an unforgettable experience awaits you here.
The Coconut Cabana is limited to 2 persons.
